Morpheus Coaching is the company name for award-winning coach Vincent Cornelius.

Why Morpheus? Morpheus is the mythological god of dreams – ‘he who shapes, forms and moulds’. The purpose driving Morpheus Coaching is exactly the same, to encourage people to realise their dreams and to help shape, form and mould their beliefs, capabilities and behaviours in order for them to do so.

What is coaching?

Coaching is an equal partnership between the coach and the coachee (client). It is usually a short-term relationship aimed specifically at bringing about positive change of some kind. The coach provides support to allow the coachee to help themselves -rather than the coach acting as a wise sage and giving lots of advice.

Morpheus Coaching will work with you to bring about significant, positive change in your life by listening, empathising, questioning and challenging.

Coaching has grown massively in popularity over recent years and this growth is set to continue in the years to come. Coaching now reaches out to everyone in all walks of life and there is a specialised type of coaching to cover just about every aspect of life. Morpheus Coaching offers three distinct types, Executive, Performance and Life coaching. 

• Executive coaching provides support to directors and senior managers. Topics include providing direction, achieving results, motivational leadership and managing your self (skills, energies and emotions).
• Performance coaching provides support to individuals, teams and companies. in order to perform effectively.  Topics include self awareness, working with others, achieving results, managing yourself 
• Life coaching, as the name suggests, provides support to individuals, groups and family units in bringing about positive change. Topics include self awareness, working through conflict, career development and enhancing work-life balance, parenting and group effectiveness.

It is important to choose the right coach, an activity that can seem daunting. For example a google search for ‘life coach’ will bring 40,00,000 results!  The coaching ‘industry’ is still currently unregulated meaning anyone can call themselves a coach – THIS IS CHANGING however… Coaching is moving rapidly towards becoming a profession and with it a requirement for coaches to be appropriately trained, experienced and ACCREDITED.  This is good news for purchasers of coaching and offers a way of selecting people who meet the industry standards of practice. Accreditation in itself is not a fail-safe device but to become accredited coaches have to provide evidence of their practice including: their coaching philosophy, professional indemnity insurance, appropriate and current training, continuing professional development and that they themselves have regular supervision sessions to maintain the quality of their coaching. Complaints against coaches will often result in accreditation being withdrawn.  

Vincent has been coacing for over twenty years and is accredited with the Association of Coaching (AC) and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and abides by their ethical codes of practice.
